Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights! I’m sure you already know what this post is about based on the title. Don’t worry; this is not clickbait like my previous post. Indeed, this post is to commemorate my fourth year as a writer.
My Writing Journey Through the Years
Frankly, I don’t even know how to start – there’s a lot to process right now. I never imagined reaching this far. Some people had doubts when I first began. Though, I can’t blame them. After all, writing is not what you call a lucrative profession.
This fact comes particularly tough, especially coming from your loved ones. No one likes to be told they are going to fail. No one in this world would like that, but that is how it goes. Not everyone in your life will see things the way you do.
Before continuing, I would like to thank my Patrons for making this post possible. I am so grateful for the love and support. I appreciate it so much.
Special Thanks to:

Now, back to my post.
From what I understand about life, courage is not about who’s the strongest or the toughest. Courage is doing something you know you will fail but still do it anyway. It is all about staying the course even when the road gets rough.
So, stayed on the course I did.
My writing journey isn’t what you would call a success story. There are no stunning victories, only respectable wins. No absolute losses, just better-luck-next-times. It has its fair share of celebrations and challenges.
With that said, I want to want to look back on my most memorable posts throughout my career. These are the write-ups that made an impact on me. Some of them are fun, some got me in hot waters, but they are all rewarding.
5 Most Memorable Blog Posts
To celebrate my fourth year of writing, here are my 10 most memorable posts.
Who knew writing 100 random things about yourself is both fun and challenging at the same time. I wanted to try something different for my About page. Thus, I decided to write out 100 things about myself, ranging from the mundane to the most profound.
It made me happy that most people seemed to enjoy it too. They started doing their own 100 things. It’s my most viewed post, and I’m thinking of updating it anytime soon.
This post is, by far, my most controversial piece. It scares me to even put this on the list because it triggers most people. To be clear, I’m not saying one sex is better than the other. I’m saying that both sexes are equal, despite their differences.
A man who is good at being a man honors his word. If he says he will do something, he should, no matter what. And sometimes, that doesn’t work out for the better. Being fickle is not an insult. To be frank, I wish I could sometimes back out from something I promised. But any man who knows his weight in gold knows that he can’t back out from his word. We can all agree on that.
Following my controversial post is this write-up. Due to the backlash I received, I remember how anxious I was to post this. I don’t want to put gasoline on an already raging fire, but I need to say it. Somehow, I was surprised that it turned out great.
This series is where I write about my insights on relationships based on what I experienced. It is an opinion piece on how men should see their partners. My goal has always been to help other men improve their lives and not point out flaws.
Again, this post is part of my series on how men should deal with women. I’m starting to see a pattern as I write this. I wish I could write more topics like these, but I’m occupied at the moment.
Anger is a natural reaction to hurt. Yet, this is not a desirable response for men when dealing with women. It would only exacerbate the situation. In this post, I tackled that the only way a man can respond to hurt is to love.
Deviating from the list, it is this fitness post. I love writing about fitness, and in this write-up, I talked about my pre-workout routine. This routine helps prevent injuries by improving your mobility.
It is memorable because I never thought these topics interested you. I make a habit of writing about things that deserve to be written. I could care less about the latest trends. But this post made me feel like what I’m saying mattered. It never felt like I’m only chiming in on recent dramas.
- Quarantine Cooking: Fried Rice
- Year One…
- Mr. A’s Father’s Day Movie Recommendations
- Encourage Others To Talk
- Fostering Sports (Why Sports is Important, Especially to Kids)
There are still plenty of memorable posts through the years, but I’m just going to stick with my top five. I’ll admit that most of them sucked, but I did have fun writing them. With that said, I’d like to thank you for joining me on this journey. You are a crucial part of it.
My writing would all be for nothing if it wasn’t for you. So, thank you. I appreciate all your support throughout the years. I wish there was something I could do to show it.
So there you have it, that’s my writing retrospective. I enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane. See you again next time for another post! Again, thank you for allowing me to follow my dreams.
Here’s to the fourth year of writing. Cheers!
To courage and freedom!
