Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights!
Before anything else, I would like to take this chance to apologize for my absence lately. This short hiatus took longer than I expected, and I am sorry if I could not fulfill my obligations to you this June.
Rest assured, I am taking the necessary steps to deliver content while doing my day job. This blog means everything to me, and I refuse to let my work go down the drain.
June is fantastic! The work is exceptional and challenging. If you have known me for some time, you know that I love taking on challenges. I love writing for them plus, I get to learn plenty of stuff, not just writing itself. I get to take on topics that I would not write here in the blog.
I get to write about finances, welding, shipping, among other stuff to which I enjoyed. Besides that, I get to learn more about writing from my recent friends. Plus, my boss is great, compared to my previous boss. I am breaking new grounds right now, and I would not have it any other way.
Besides that, the pay is adequate. It helps a lot in my current situation.

At least now, I do not have to worry about our pending eviction. I have saved enough money to keep us going for a few months when things get worse. With that, I am forever grateful for this opportunity.
All I wanted was to be good in what I do and have something I could be proud of. I know I am not the most talented person out there. Frankly, I suck so bad! But if there is one thing about me is that I do not quit. I am always willing to learn. When I need to do something, I am prepared to do anything to get it done.

Besides working, I get to spend a handful of time with my daughter. She has been asking me for comic books lately, especially Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia. Much to my relief, this gives her the time out she needed away from her tablet.

Then we celebrated Father’s day. It still amazes me how thoughtful my daughter is to the point that it scares me. I might get used to her being sweet and all, and when the time comes that she stops, I will miss it. The life of a solo dad is never simple. You have to be strong and delicate at the same time. I love how she puts her arms around me whenever I am working.

The day after Father’s day, I celebrated my 35th birthday. In a few years, I will be turning 40; I hope my 30s are much better than my 20s. I hate thinking of what-ifs, but I do wish that I handled my 20s with a bit of finesse and tact. I was an arrogant man back then. I am hopeful that I have a bit of gravitas now that I am in my 30s.

For my birthday, I made my usual meatball spaghetti and some tacos for the kid. Then, I order some pizza to top things off. I am not looking for much these days. What I want is for us to survive and keep the ball rolling. I know that someday all these will pass, and I will come out stronger.

With that said, I still have five years to make something of myself before I reach 40. I must get there or die trying.
34th is a challenge, while my 35th brings hope. Last year, right after I celebrated my birthday, we received a notice of eviction from the bank. I fought back and did everything I could to take back the house but failed. Now, I have another chance to start anew, and hopefully, I could make it work.
To those who believed in me and encouraged me through this journey, thank you. I would not be here without you. I hope I did not disappoint you.
