When We Strive To Become Better, Everything Else Becomes Better

Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights!

I hate to interrupt our usual schedule, but I got some pressing news. I am sure you are aware of my situation. I am a solo dad doing everything he could to raise his daughter. Besides that, I am about to lose house due to some mishap with that bank. I did everything I could to keep things from falling apart. I did a fundraiser and launched a Patreon to come up with the money we need. Writing has been my anchor and my hope.

If you noticed, I missed a few posts recently, and I apologize for that. Due to our impending eviction, I am making sure that I still have something to bounce back to after that. I invested some of my savings in a bookshop.

Before we continue, please check out the 10 Reasons Why You Should Subscribe To My Patreon.

For as low as $1 a month, you will have access to tons of bonus content and behind the scenes. Take part in monthly Q&A sessions and polls, make requests and challenges. Get your name in the credit section in all my posts! You get the power to choose what you want to see here in the blog. For the same price of a pack of gum, you are helping in maintaining this blog and put out useful content. If you have any suggestions on the perks you want in Patreon, please comment down below. I would love to hear about it and see what I can do about it.

If you like this post and would like more content like this, please check out my Patreon! I would appreciate it!

I almost forgot, please LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE! It helps!

I am also lending small amounts of money to friends for an interest. Then there is this blog, where I spent most of my time writing content and promoting on social media.

Yet, the money I make is still not enough to send a daughter to school, pay the rent or buy groceries. So, as soon as I saw a Facebook post looking for a content writer, I immediately sent my resume.

After a few interviews, a test, and a careful deliberation on their part, I am glad to announce that I finally got a job!

Now, what does that mean for the future of this blog?

I do not want to make any promises, but I still want to continue. I would still put out helpful content for the blog every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I would still do what I can to update my Patreon daily. I would, however, cut the time I spend promoting the blog and Patreon. My views would take a hit; I only hope that I have proved enough of myself to keep this blog afloat.

I have to make sacrifices and work long hours, but I am willing to make it work. I need this job more than ever.

As for my Patreon, I would continue asking for Patrons. Only this time, the money I make will go into content creation and, if I get lucky enough, philanthropy. I knew how difficult things could get for everyone, and I wanted to give back as much as possible. But that is just wishful thinking. I wish to be somebody in this life, someone who tried everything he can to make a difference.

Again, thank you for being here with me on my journey. I hope that things start to get better now, not just for me but for you also.

Special thanks to my patrons, namely:

This post would not be possible if it were not for you! Thank you for believing in me; your continued patronage is very much appreciated. You have my sincerest gratitude!

Maraming salamat at mahal ko kayo!

Again, please check my Patreon page and become a patron. Every subscription helps!

  1. Congratulations, Mr. A! Unfortunately, I had to cancel my Patron pledge at this time due to our own debt, but I will definitely think to support you in the future once things have improved. I hope you have every success in your new job and it will be what you need to finally be on the up!

    1. Hi Helen! It’s totally cool 😉
I hope you sort that out soon. Thank you for being supportive since this started. I can’t thank you enough. I’ll send you an email soon about that collab. Thank you so much!

      1. Thankyou, Mr. A. We’ve cleared the debt now but “scraping the bottom of the barrel” would spring to mind, especially with two weeks now until payday! I’ve got a few bits and pieces to sell but not selling any fish lately has me panicking a bit, both because of money and because of overstocking. No rush at all! We will be expiring the old email soon as it goes with the old domain, but you can reach me on our new email, heythere@kinkywithatwist.com 🙂
