Year Three (Third Year Blogging Anniversary)

Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights!

Wow! Who would have thought I could reach three years of blogging. I never imagined anything like this. I never expected that I would get to write for a living. Three years have passed, and I still have trouble wrapping my head around it. Thank you, this would not be possible if not for you!

I started as someone who writes to cope with his anxiety and depression. My first write-ups are all about me, my trials, and my experiences. Now that I think about it, the way I write and the topics I write about are so embarrassing. No one is that interested in me.

It was on my second when I began shifting my content towards self-help and lifestyle content. I know that I have potential, and I could deliver; I have so much to offer.

A lot happened in my three years as a blogger. Most are celebrations, and some are challenges, but it was all worth it.

The major problem I faced this time was the pandemic. Not just me – but everyone around the globe. Suddenly, everything we know changed – we have to stay indoors as much as we can and maintain distance. I have to close up shop and figure out a way to make money. It becomes tricky when you cannot get out of the house. I did have time to pursue other hobbies during my time in lockdown.

Before we celebrate, please check out my Patreon page. For as low as $1 a month, you get to access tons of bonus content and behind the scenes. You get the power to choose what you want to see here on the blog. For the same price as a pack of gum, you are making all the difference for us.

If you like this post and would like more content like this, please check out my Patreon! I would appreciate it!

I almost forgot, please LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE! It helps!

Because of my desperation, I got scammed in an investment scheme; I lost a great deal of money. So despite not making many views, I decided to monetize the blog via Patreon . It is not much, but it is working. Right now, I have nine active patrons, and I am making $72 a month from writing. I urge you; please check out my Patreon page. For just $1 a month, you could help me maintain this blog and put food on our table. I am doing everything I can to make it worth your while. If you got any suggestions, I would love to hear about them!

Thanks to my patrons, I was able to have a proper birthday last year. It is not much of a festive affair but rather an expression of gratitude. Again, thank you for celebrating my birthday with me.

It all went downhill after that. I found out that we are about to lose our house. So, like a reliable person, I did everything I could to stop that from happening. I did a fundraiser, and even if I did not gather the funds I need, I still count it a success. To everyone who helped me during this challenging moment, thank you. Honestly, I hate talking about this. It is stressful as it is, and I am still working on it. Someone from the bank came the other day; I guess the reckoning will arrive any time now. We still do not have the money we need, and I do not think we ever will. Despite that, I still keep on trying, and if I go down, I go down fighting.

The prospect of losing our house is not all that bad. If not for that, I would not push myself forward. With the money I get from Patreon , I managed to open up a bookshop. I needed the extra cash to supplement my income. I am still working hard for it while waiting for a miracle.

I never shy away from hardships, my third year as a blogger brought a lot of challenges. The trials I faced are the foundation of my growth; if not for this, I would not push myself forward. I would not make an effort to make our situation better.

I want to give Ate Mich a shoutout! 2020 is a year of new friends; thank you for believing in me!

This post would not be complete with a sort of round-up to cap my blogging anniversary.
