What Happened in December…

Greetings! Long days and pleasant nights.

First off, I want to greet you with a Sparkling and Joyous New Year! 2020 is now over, and I am glad that we somehow made it. It was tough, and there are times where it feels like everything is about to crumble, but we persevere. You would not believe how many times I have fallen on my knees this year alone. A man truly is the measure of all things.

We have prevailed through the challenge, and tonight, the stars will look upon us with pride in their hearts. The fire of man is still raging, and our will remains unbent – we will soldier on. The future, while it remains unknown, is bright, and we will carry on.

December, much like the other months, is unforgiving. Nothing is ever simple, and in moments that are, try to make much of it – it would be beneficial for your well-being. Our lives are in a constant shift between challenge and celebration. While December may be unforgiving, there is joy; there is happiness. December is when I made new friends and fostered the old. It is when friends from afar made an unseemingly young girl happy. It is also the time to reach out a helping hand to strangers. Despite struggling on my own, I made a vow to help whenever I could. My experience determines who I want and do not want to be, and I will not be a Fred. The world is already full of unassuming jackasses; I will not add to the count. If there is a way for me to help in some way, I will not hesitate.

I know I sound like a broken record, but please subscribe to my Patreon. Writing is not simple, it may seem like we are pulling well-crafted paragraphs out of our asses, but we do not. We are trying to make a living by doing what we do best, much like everybody else. A modest $1 subscription could make all the difference for us. You could take part in my polls and get to select which content you want to see. You could also ask me questions in my monthly Q&As. I would take on requests and give you the power to choose what content you would like to see here in the blog. If you would like to help in maintaining the blog, please subscribe to my Patreon. I would appreciate it!

And do not forget to like and subscribe! It helps!

What else happened in December? Right! I bought myself a pair of sneakers to review. My goal as a writer is to provide high-quality content, not just my useless meanderings. With some money that I am making on Patreon, it is only fair that I use some of it in creating content. If I could help small businesses stay afloat while writing content, I would not think twice. I am here to produce excellent content and help as much as I could.

Another thing, I gave myself a copy of The Road by Cormac McCarthy for Christmas. While I was out, looking for some books for my daughter, I stumbled upon a copy of The Road. I have been looking for the book for some time now, and I am glad that I finally found it. Being a father myself, I am fond of stories about fatherhood. I consider it my highest calling in life.

As for my daughter, she got everything she asked. I bought her some books, thanks to some of my friends, and an entry-level watercolor set. Surprisingly enough, we got some change from the books that she asked me to put in her savings account. She told me that she misses the 20 pesos I am giving when she goes to school. Lunch money that she seldom uses and would go directly in her piggy bank when she got home.

So, that is my December. It is the culmination of all the other months of 2020. It is challenging, it is arduous, and it will not stop – but it is worth it. Life is pain, and it is up to you what sort of suffering you want.

In case you are curious, here is a summary of my 2020

Now, what are the things I am looking forward to in 2021? I cannot say for sure; who knows what 2021 brings. I wish I could resolve my house problems immediately. It took a lot from me, and I look forward to the day I could somehow take a rest. What else? I plan on writing a manuscript, and I hope that I could get published. I also intend on focusing more on Patreon; I need every help I could get. I still got to pay the bills so, if you could subscribe to my Patreon, that would be fantastic. I want to do some charity work and promote small businesses as well. I aim to do outstanding work – I desire to be more and do more.

Ube Halaya that I made with my mom

Again, I want to thank you for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I wish you nothing but all the love in the world. Maraming salamat at mahal ko kayo!

Regards,

Arnie
