TMI Tuesday #96

First things first, November marks the last leg of my fundraiser. I have an appointment with the bank tomorrow, and I’ll try to negotiate our payment. To be honest, we’re still missing half of the money we needed but, I’m hopeful that the bank would listen to what I have to say. I’m well aware of the skepticism regarding this fundraiser but, if you could help us, I would surely appreciate it.

Now, onwards to this week’s TMI!

What car do you remember your parents owning when you were a child? Do you have any special memories attached to it?

Growing up, my dad drove a white Ford. Before he left us to work in the US, he used to take us to the beach every Sunday. The beach is a 15-20 minute drive from our house and he takes us there when he has the chance. After that, we would have dinner from this fancy place that his friend owns. I don’t miss being a child but it’s times like that are simple and makes me wish I still was a young boy.

How important are cars for you? Could you live without one?

Right now, I don’t have one. I live in a fairly small city and we get around fine by commuting. Cars are rather a luxury in our place so I don’t see myself buying one, especially now. I used to drive an old Toyota Corolla but sold it to fund my wedding. If only I knew what was going to happen, I never would have entered marriage thinking it would end in separation. I wish I did, but then again, what’s the point in getting married if you have doubts.

In April 2019, Elon Musk predicted that owners of autonomous cars acting as taxis would be able to earn up to $30 000 from their vehicle while they weren’t using it. What do you think?. The link for the source article is here.

I’m not going to bitch about technology because, to be honest, I need technology, this blog runs on technology. Regardless of how I see technology, it would be great if people could make that kind of money. Given the economic situation right now, If there is someone out there who’s doing well, I’m very happy for them.

Tell us about your dream car.

A 1969 Camaro SS or Corolla ae86. Those were the cool cars when I was growing up and they cost a fortune now. But hey, if you’re going to dream, might as well dream big, right? To be honest, as long as it works and it gets me to places, I won’t mind if it’s a beater car. As I’ve said earlier, I live in a small city and I have no qualms about commuting. Jeepneys are so fun to ride in. I recommend everyone who comes to the Philippines to ride one.

Tell us about the worst car you ever owned. What made it so bad?

I’ve only owned one car in my life, a red Corolla ae89. It’s not the worst and I love that car. So instead of the worst thing about it, I’ll write about why I love it. Well, it’s my first car and for someone who is just starting, I picked it because it’s what I could afford. The engine is still good and I still got some money left to buy a body kit. I have a lot of memories in that car, both pleasant and unpleasant. It has been a huge part of me growing up but as I’ve said, I sold it to fund my marriage.

Bonus: Tell us about your most memorable sexual experience in a car.

Wow, where do I even begin? I got plenty of sexual experience in a car but I have to go with a Sinful Sunday post we did back then. I don’t always tell you this but before this blog, my ex and I used to have a sex blog. One of our first foray into blogging was by taking part in Sinful Sundays to which we did a sexy pictorial in the car. I’m going to spare you the details out of respect for the ex. It was a long time ago, like 2015 and it was one of the most memorable things I did with her.

Before I end this post, I’d like to thank my friends for their support during this difficult time. You made us believe that we are worth something when people seem to turn their backs on us. I’m so thankful for your friendship and support. I wish this would be over soon. Maraming salamat at mahal ko kayo!

Please check them out!

And I almost forgot, please like and subscribe! Cheers!

  1. You are right, you couldn’t have known what happens to your marriage 🙂 You were certain @ that time…
Things turned out well for you I believe…

    1. I know, no one thinks of getting married only to end up in separation. It is hard, raising a daughter on my own, but things do happen whether we like it or not. Its all about making it work. 🙂

      1. Not every single dad is able to get through that with flying colors because you have to work, be a dad, and be a mom at the same time… but with the way you’re raising your daughter… you seem to be doing a great job -perhaps even better than those with both parents present…

We’ll never know what happens to people’s marriages until we get there… some people spend yrs of togetherness but end up separated… it’s a very unfortunate circumstance that gradually becomes a norm in the Philippines… but I believe everyone still deserves a happy ending 🙂
