Help Me Save My Mother’s House – 2nd Week Update

Hi guys! It’s me again. While most of you know me as Mr. A, I am also Arnie, a solo dad, a son, and a friend. I wanted to take this time from my usual schedule to thank you and give you an update on everything that is going on. I know it could get pretty annoying when asking for help and thanking everyone who did, but it’s the kind of man I am. You can’t expect me to get help and not say anything. I don’t go like that; I won’t hesitate to give back or to pay forward the support I’ve received. If I could help you in some way, I would do it with no second thoughts.

In case you haven’t heard, we are facing a crisis. We are about to lose our house in 3 months if we can’t come up with 1.5 million pesos. I’m not expecting to get the money from donations alone, that would be irresponsible. But I can’t say that we can do it on our own, there is no way we could come up with that kind of money in a short amount of time.

I felt nothing but overwhelming gratitude from the help I’ve received these past few days. I never expected this kind of support. I cried out of gratitude when help came in from people from all places, including friends from the various eras of my life.

I’m pleased to inform you that I’ve now gathered 43,162 PHP. I know we still got a long way to go but it still means so much to us nonetheless. I’m well aware that the situation is tough, not just for us but for everyone. Despite that, it never stopped you from helping and for that I’m grateful. You inspired me to be an even better person.

With that said, I’d like to say a few heartfelt words to those people who came to my aid during these tough moments.

To Theresaly and Summerhill who have always been with me from the beginning on Patreon. Thank you for believing in me and my writing, thank you for making me feel that my work is worth something. I owe a lot to you.

Please check out Theresaly’s Culture Shocks where she offers her views on a variety of topics. Also, check out Summerhill Lane for great erotic shorts and art about love.

To my brothers at the church of fire and steel, my gym bros, Russel and Marco. Together we explore and push the boundaries of physical performance. Somehow we still managed to help each other inside and outside the gym. We are bonded by blood, sweat, and tears. I appreciate it, you both are my brothers in arms (in biceps and triceps).

To Eris, thank you for being my friend, and thank you for allowing me to teach you the Filipino language. I know that you’ve been busy as of late and I miss our conversations in Filipino. Take care of yourself always!

Please visit Eris’ blog, Eris Goes To where she takes you on a journey to Malaysia’s top destinations!

To Penny who I’ve been friends with for a long time, along with Quinn. Thank you! You never did ask me for any explanations, you helped as soon as you’ve heard the news. For that, I’m grateful. Maraming salamat sa inyo at maligayang kaarawan Quinn!

Check out Penny’s blog, Penny Berry for wonderful BDSM & DDLG lifestyle insights.

To Mrs. Wolfie and Wifeblah who never hesitate to help as soon as they can. I’m touched by their stories of how they’ve overcome their financial crisis in the past, on how it feels like to face this thing on my own. I know that this too will pass, and thank you for sharing your stories with me. I apologize if I can’t reply right away but I promise to get back to you as soon as I can.

Please check out Mrs. Woflie’s She’s Big, She’s Bold and She’s Bright as well as WifeBlah’s blog and Youtube channel.

To PinayMama@SG and Mikki Bih0n, you are the exemplar of Filipino values. There are a lot of Filipinos out there who are proud to claim they are Filipinos but lack the virtues to back it up. You are not only generous but caring as well. You are always willing to help as soon as the circumstance presents itself. May more blessings come your way, thank you! You both are the best example of what it takes to be a Filipino living inside and outside the country. I’m so proud to call you my countrymen.

Visit PinayMama@SG’s blog to know how it feels like for a Filipino to live abroad. Also, Mikki Bih0n’s blog that showcases the quirky, fun but sometimes serious life of a Filipino.

To Anna Vill and Bee Halton who despite facing problems of their own, never made an excuse not to help. Your story made a huge impact on me that last night, as I scrolled down on Twitter, I saw some kid asking for help. They are asking for 3 GBP so that they could eat and they are currently living in a tent on The Isle of Wight. There was some delay in the guy’s pay, that’s why despite having a problem of my own, I was quick to send some help. Times are tough not just for me, but to everyone else.

If you can’t help me, maybe you could help Anna Vill’s sister in law, Cristine. She is a frontliner who is battling Myasthenia Gravis. If I’m being honest, they needed it more than I did. Check out their Go Fund Me campaign for more details.

While you’re at it, please give Bee Halton’s blog for fantastic poetry, art, and life wisdom.

To Gina and Mich, what more can I say about you two? Along with Eris, the three of you made Malaysia as my top country to visit if ever I decided to go out of the Philippines. Your friendship alone is enough for me to be grateful. It is such a blessing to have you as my friends. It was the kind of friendship that transcends time, distance, and words. If ever I manage to get through this ordeal, Pancake and I will come to visit as soon as our savings would allow it.

Please visit alifelesslived and michnav for some exceptional poetry. While you’re at it please check out Mich’s Kiss here. Be sure to give her a 5 star, it is outstanding.

To Valerie, thank you for your generosity. I can’t help but read your message again and again on Patreon. Your kind-heartedness amazes me and you are one of a kind. You have given enough but you still want to give more and want less in return. How could I ever repay your kindness? If there is anything I could help you with, don’t hesitate to ask.

For comprehensive book reviews, please visit Valerie’s blog. A life long reader whose reviews won’t disappoint even the most hardcore of book readers.

To my childhood friend Neil, who I go a long way back. Thank you – of all our childhood friends, you were the first to heed my call. I can’t thank you enough. I know that as we grow older, newer things start to open up, and the more we grow older, the more things get complicated. It took a lot of courage to ask you for some help. I know that you got a lot of things going on. I’m happy that we never pass up the opportunity to greet each other whenever we come across each other. You are a homie for life, and if ever you needed anything, let me know. I’m there as soon as I can.

To my friends, Jiorgio, Joey, Janice, and Mike, as well as my former bosses, Sally, Phutie, and Cherms, thank you. Despite going our separate ways and dealing with problems of your own, you still managed to help me. You never thought of me as lowly and always have my best interest in mind. I want to tell you that you have always been crucial to my growth as a person. You were there when I decided to get married. You were there when I welcomed my daughter to this world, and you were there when my world fell apart. You have seen every up and down, every failure and triumph, every joy and sorrow of my adult life. My life is a roller coaster but what I do know about life is that lovers come and go, but friends stay. Thank you. (I’m on the brink of crying as I write this but then I remembered how ugly I am when I cried on my last day – so, nope!)

By the way, Jiorgio’s lady love is on Youtube. Please subscribe to Swartzy’s channel for makeup tutorials and other stuff.

To Pancake, I’m still amazed that you stick around despite my unemployment and being a solo dad. Through thick and thin you stood by me for the last two years, for better or worst, you stood by my side. Though, I can’t promise you that I’m the easiest man to live with – just ask my long list of ex-lovers,  I will, however, try my best to be reasonable and understanding. Thank you for everything. I can’t wait to see you when this is over.

To my brother, sister, sister-in-law, and nephew, you are the best siblings a man could ever have – thank you.

To my daughter, my mom, and dad, this is all for you. I hope someday, you would be proud.

To the rest of my readers, thank you! If ever you can’t help me right now, maybe you could help me in supporting my friends. If you have some time, why not follow their blogs and subscribe to their Youtube channel. I would appreciate it!

But if ever you wanted to help, I would appreciate it. Here are the ways how:

You could subscribe to my Patreon page and get access to exclusive content you can’t get anywhere else. Take part in Q&A and polls, and you get to decide what content you want me to make. Make requests and get included in the credit section of my post. If you are not convinced, maybe this testimonial would help you change your mind.

For a barbarian in gentlemen’s clothing, Mr.A is rather accomodating to my requests. He enjoys building relationships via our one-on-one interactions and monthly Q&As. As a patron, I enjoy reading a different perspective that he delivers in response to my topic. Just when I think my suggested topic may be out of range, he’s quite thoughtful and adaptable as he ties it to his interests and experiences. I’m quite inspired by his subtle design elements and creativity. I enjoy voting in his survey polls and learning more about his creative process behind blogging. As he explores and stretches into new terrain, I look forward to seeing what else he has in store!

  2. You’re very welcome. I didn’t realise how much he had donated either until he told me. Afterwards, I just hugged him. Considering the background that he comes from, it was just amazing to see him so able to donate and support another without even stopping to think about whether it would impact him.

      1. I don’t have a twitter, but I saw you are posting them on Twitter, yesterday. Thank you so much! I tried my best to look for good music, I am sucker with songs. I got mine from epidemic sound to be safe with the copyright part. I’m glad you like it, but I am more thankful for the support. Really not everyone will do that.

      2. Got it. Your friend must be so proud of her 🙂 She needs to make more videos. I once told that to my cousin who was apprehensive to make more videos, but I told him one day you will be popular. I was right, he made a video that made him popular overnight. 🙂 And I can see that on her too.
