What Happened in June…

Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights!

I always hold June close to my heart. If there is a month that I always look forward to, it is June. I wait in excitement for the first rain of the year because it signifies that June is coming. Rainy days in June always give me a sort of comfort. It is the world’s way of telling me to rest my head easy and that everything would be alright.

May was rough, there is no doubt about that. I didn’t even think I’d make today if I’m being honest.

It’s nice to know that somehow I’m recuperating from what happened in May. After getting scammed for $300, I still find myself grateful to have family and friends who got my back. They are my true treasure in life.

So, what makes June so special? What makes June different from July, August, and September? Was it because it’s Father’s Day? While yes, Father’s day is something I love to celebrate but for this year, Father’s day is a bit more extra. I celebrated my 13th “21st Birthday” Anniversary on Father’s Day, the 21st of June!

Yes, you heard it right. I am now 34 years old, more mature but still charming, dashing, and impeccable. My life may not be of wealth or happiness, but it sure is meaningful. I have been blessed with a life that challenges me and at the same time celebrates who I am. I could not be thankful enough for the life, family, and friends that I have been blessed with.

I’m never fond of talking about myself or what I’m thinking or feeling. To be honest, I never saw myself as someone special or an expert at something and I never claimed that I was. The important thing for me is how you feel and what you are thinking. That’s why I’m using my platform and my life experiences to bring lessons and joy to you. What brings me joy is not the approval I get but the fulfillment of knowing that I helped some of you. Because let’s accept it, this blog wouldn’t even be possible without you. I entered the blogging world as a means to express myself, but end up finding my calling.

As a blogger, I know too well the value of one’s time and attention. I make decent money catching people’s attention and hope that they spend time reading what I have to say. With that said, I’d like to thank you all for spending a bit of your time reading my work. Thank you for taking the time to craft those awe-inspiring comments and life stories. You have been a source of great inspiration for me. Much like June, I hold you very close to my heart.

I would like to extend my gratitude to my Patrons and friends that made this year’s birthday special.

Thank you for your patronage and support, I appreciate it so much! It means so much to me and my daughter.

Speaking of my daughter, I hope that you get to read this when the time is right. I want to thank you for giving me a chance to become a better man and a better father. You are my inspiration and I hope that my work made you proud. In a way, I’m doing these for you. I want to inspire and make a better world for you. A world where, despite its intricacies, you are understood, cared for, and loved. My love is all for you, dad is not perfect but he tries.

Despite everything wrong this 2020, this year’s birthday is still the best birthday ever. It may not be like what it used to but this year is all about learning and making adjustments. I’m now 34, a year wiser and I’ve survived everything that life threw at me so far. I’ve been blessed with a family and even more friends than last year.

Again, I’d like to thank each of you for joining me on this journey and I mean everyone. I am forever in your debt, whether you agree or disagree with me. You have been a great part of who I am today. Thank you!

But if you are feeling generous today and insists on send me a gift, I would be so happy to accept! Please check out my Patreon page here

As I’ve said, I’m never fond of talking about myself and what is important for me is you. So, for my birthday wish, I wish that all your life’s wishes to come true! Thank you for being such wonderful friends!

To Courage, Freedom, and the 34th!
