TMI Tuesday #82

What’s invisible but you wish you could see?

What other people are thinking whenever it is convenient. I’m great at picking out subtle clues, how a person presents themselves, the words they use, how they act. No matter how great a person is in making assumptions, they are still assumptions. You can’t expect honesty either, I dislike it when people can’t accept the fact that people lie. Unfaithfulness is very different from lying. A person may lie but will remain faithful to you and a person can be unfaithful even if they are honest. With that said, it would be nice if you could have a better understanding of people and what they are thinking. Better understanding still trumps everything else, if you ask me.

Would you rather watch your neighbor(s) having sex while you are in the same room or anonymously watch your parents having sex?

I’d watch my neighbors have sex! I might even join them if they want me to and if they are sexy neighbors. Either way, it’s their business and I don’t have a stick up my butt to complain about it. Now that I think about it, I wonder who would like to watch their parents have sex. It’s none of my business either but I find that weird. Not that I’m saying there’s anything wrong with it, but I’m trying to wrap my head around it. The best way to live is to let others live even if it is beyond your understanding, given that it is not unlawful.

For what are you nostalgic?

Long drives, sing-alongs, office environment, a lot to be honest. Was it better than what I have now? I don’t know. What I do know is that one has to keep something as long as it works and discard it if it no longer doesn’t. Don’t be too quick to throw things out, however. I always pride myself on being a “moving forward” kind of man. It is always about moving forward and be better than yesterday. But being too quick to discard things is impulsive and not sustainable in the long run. Try to hold on to things as much as you could but know when its time to let go.

What is an unwritten rule where you work?

In my previous work, never touch food that is not yours. There has been an incident wherein someone ate somebody else’s food and a verbal altercation ensues. It’s not a formal rule, but more of common courtesy to others. For me, I don’t mind sharing. If someone is hungry then, by all means, eat as long as you let me know. Dealing with people can be tricky at times, nothing good ever comes from being critical of others. But at the same time, I try to be firm and avoid being a pushover.

What is an unwritten rule or mutual understanding in your home?

When you see things lying around, pick it up. Do the dishes if you see the kitchen sink full. It was nothing special, just your run of the mill stuff that your mother teaches.

Which body part do you wish you could detach and why?

Eyes, while maintaining vision ala Mr, Potatohead in Toy Story. Wouldn’t it be great when you could detach an eye and take a look at tight spots and corners? Want to see the top shelf of a cabinet? Pop-out your eye and point it overhead. Want to see if someone is following when you’re walking down the street at night? Pop-put your eye and point it backward. It offers a lot of practical uses when you think about it.

Bonus: What is the weirdest thing you have seen in someone else’s home?

So far I haven’t seen any dead bodies yet. The weirdest thing I’ve seen was some dirty underwear lying on the floor. I was seeing this girl back then, we’re out drinking and she got so drunk that I have to piggyback her home. We’re a few houses away from her place, so it’s alright with me. So, we got to her house and it was a full mess. There was some underwear lying around but the funny thing was it has a kind of charm that appealed to me. She said it was nice that I gave her a piggyback ride home, too bad we didn’t become a thing.
