Year Two…

Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights!

Wow, two years…

I honestly don’t know what to say, I’m overwhelmed with a lot of feelings right now, two years is a lot of time. My fear has always been running out of things to write about or worse, running out of people who would listen.

I’ve always drawn inspiration from life experience and no, my life ain’t that great to talk about. It is, however, a great way for me to evaluate and make amends.

Looking back, blogging wasn’t a real part of any plan. Funny thing is that fate has always been a bitch. One who is great at throwing you off course only to find yourself exactly where you wanted to be. There’s no need to get yourself lost so that you can find yourself, life will take care of that for you. From the words of the sage Alanis Morissette, “Life has a funny way of helping you out”

Before we get to it, please like this post and subscribe to this blog or better yet, why not sponsor it? Yes, you heard it right; I’m looking for sponsors, patrons to be exact. I’ve finally taken the jump in Patreon.

So what is Patreon? It is a platform that allows creators to earn income by giving exclusive rewards to their patrons.

What does this mean for the blog? Nothing. I would still post on a regular schedule (T-TH-S) without a patron but does help in giving better content. Want me to write about watches? I could use the money to buy one and write about it. Book reviews, style challenges, you name it and I’ll write it. Not to mention the improvements I could do behind the scenes, like upgrading to premiums. This would mean a lot for me and my daughter.

As of now, I offer the “Official Patron” package for only $3/month that includes:

  • A personalized thank you message
  • A shoutout (credit roll) in all my post (great, if you have a blog)
  • A monthly Q&A session

You can check out my Patreon page, here.

To all my readers out there thank you, you made this small-town boy happy!

Mr. A says “Thank you, for everything!”

Special Thanks…

  • Marco, my man!!! More often than not, it is the small talk that makes the most profound sense in life. If you haven’t suggested writing to me, this blog wouldn’t be possible. I’d still be working my 9 to 5 for a boss who never appreciated me. It has been a tough journey but it is all worth it.
  • Leslie, do I even have to say anything? This has been quite a roller coaster ride, and thank you for all the support. I owe a lot of this to you and forever am in your debt.
  • Gemmi, Beatrix, Gina, Theresaly, Thank you for your friendship from blogging and beyond.
  • H, Thank you! Most of my traffic comes from doing TMI Tuesday. It’s not easy to come up with questions every Tuesday, every week, for that you have my utmost admiration.
  • Cezar, you’ll always be the best friend a man could ever have. I knew that it took me a while to reach out, but you never left my thoughts. I’ll catch you later.
  • Jiorgio, Anna Vill, Von, Kai and Monica, thanks for the friendship. Catch you all when COVID-19 is over!
  • Ada, thank you for loving me despite all my shortcomings as a father. I hope that one day when you grow older, you get to read this. Daddy is not perfect, far from it but he always loves you.
