What Happened in February

Greetings Barbarians! Long days and pleasant nights!

February is pleasant. A lot of what I’ve been working on is finally taking shape. The month will end with all ends being met and all debts from January paid for. 

January ended a bit on a difficult note, and February started rough. I spent most of my February on a hustle, hoping to catch up and it paid off. Besides that, a handful of great things happened to my personal and blogging life. I had a wonderful Valentine’s day despite the distance between me and Pancake.

As I’ve said, my blogging life has been great and it was all thanks to you! I know that this section is becoming more of a cliche or promotion but bear with me. I can’t help but give credit to those who support us and this blog. To those who make an effort in following, liking, and commenting, thank you. Blogging has been great this month. I had the wonderful experience of being interviewed by the lovable Penny Berry about general and kink related topics. You could check out my interview here, a bit of a warning though, read at your own risk. Do not read if you’re not mature enough.

Another thing, I’ve unknowingly started a thing which is so cool. As it turns out I’ve inspired the wonderful Julie Krupp in her Karmic Saturday post, which you could also check here.

Now, for some pictures. 

The month started with a beer and some fish and chips or at least the closest I could get to fish and chips. I apologize to my British friends, I couldn’t get my hands on some cod fillets.

Another thing, I did some errands and walked past a book sale. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the chance to look into some books and found a copy of The Alienist in good condition. There’s no way I’m not taking it home with me to add to my collection. 

Now the highlight of the month, February 14, Valentine’s day. Well, not the highlight, Pancake and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s day on a different day. The 14th went well like any other day, hustled a bit, took care of the kid and wrote something. Sometime in the evening, I received a box of pizza and wings. Not any kind of pizza but my favorite pizza. Moments later, I received a text message from Pancake saying “Enjoy the Pizza!”. It was so thoughtful that I even felt bad that I didn’t get her anything. I’ve been hustling and saving too much to catch up with January and make February meet that forgotten to get her something. 

The real highlight of February was the day that I finally got the chance to see Pancake. We dined and got the chance to talk about a lot of things like work and family. She got to see the other parts of my city and its rich culture, something that is different from her usual hustle and bustle. It was such a wonderful day to spend with her.
