After week long hiatus, I’m back and its that day of the week again!
Do you write/manage another blog?
I wish!!! Well, I don’t think I’m credible enough to write for another blog. One blog is already a handful; writing in a second language is even harder. Then there’s the matter of editing, proof-reading, postproduction and promotions. Based on what I’ve experienced, a lot goes into blogging. Of course, content is king; but presentation and promotions do matter. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t matter how good your content is if you’re not promoting it. You can’t expect to get noticed just like that, you must get out there and spread the word. Another thing, hard work, and consistency goes far. You must spend a great deal of time and effort on something to be good. Don’t expect to get somewhere by being lazy.
Pick 3 random blogs from your blogroll and tell us why they are on your blog roll.
https://rebelsnotes.com – I’ve been a fan of Marie Rebel from way back L’s Diary fame. It’s a great read for sex positivity and offers an in-depth insight towards anything kink related. I’d recommend it to anyone mature enough for sex positivity and kink.
https://cristianmihai.net – The blog wouldn’t be called The Art of Blogging for nothing. This one offers great content about the intricacies of blogging as well as life lessons. So, if you’re looking to have a better understanding of how blogging works, then give Cristian Mihai’s blog a visit.
https://lumibaochit.wordpress.com/ – A fellow Filipino blogger. I have a wonderful opportunity to have a quick chat with Lucy Lu earlier. A nice lady with the penchant for inspirational content. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to brighten up the day.
Look around your blog, tell us about two pages or links you want us to visit, be sure to provide a link to them in your answer to this question (on your website).
100 things about me (https://barbariangentlemen.wordpress.com/100-things-about-me/). Aside from the TMIs, this is a page of random things about me; some serious and some naughty but all me. If you want to know the things I love and my fears or if I’m interested in a threesome, this is the place to go to.
Contact (https://barbariangentlemen.wordpress.com/contact/). I love having a chat with you guys, and I’ve made quite a few friends this way. I love to get in touch with you and listen to what you have to say. So, if ever you wanted to make friends and get to know me on the personal level, send me a message. I’m also on social media, which I will link down below.
Do you have any unique interests that you have never shared before? What are they?
Plating! Aside from being a good enough cook, I could plate well. Presentation is half the battle, in food and in life. Not only it has to taste good, but it also must look good. It must be enticing but not gimmicky, it must have aesthetics. Same goes with life, it must have a certain beauty out of it as well as substance. You wouldn’t eat something that looks like cat vomit. You wouldn’t sleep with someone who looks like they haven’t taken a shower in a while. Whether you like it or not, presentation matters.

What’s your current obsession?
Trying to get rich, adhering to my three-year plan. As you all know, I’m a solo stay-at-home dad and my finances are one of the things I try to be good at. I have a financial three-year plan that forecasts my savings, investments, and debts.
I also acquired my first fountain pen. Despite my shitty penmanship, I always wanted to have a fountain pen. Fountain pens are great and a huge step up to your handwriting, and letters are always sexy.
I also wanted to try to brew my own coffee. Instant coffees are common here in the Philippines, not that there’s anything wrong with it. But being able to brew a good cup of coffee is something that I’ve always wanted to try.
Bonus: Has blogging helped or hurt your sex life?
I don’t think so, the ladies seem to find it sexy. But to be honest, I want to be even better at it. Come to think of it, I want to be even better at sex too.

Hi, Mr A! All good here. Healing from a broken thumb. And I’m learning to sing again after many silent years…
I like what you write here about promoting one’s blog. Definitely my weak spot. Slowly growing—no problem. Blogging is a lot of work! But enjoyable too.
I hope this week is better for you. Rough weeks are…hmmm…what’s the word? Necessary part of growth? Cheers to a gentle week for us all! 😊

Ow yeah, my nephew got sick, then my daughter. We almost spend a week in the hospital. Good thing that they manage to be good kids and listen to me for once.
I try to promote as much as I could. Good to know that you’re reviving an old passion. I hope your thumb gets better!
Cheers to you NZ!

Well, she’s a bit of a picky eater. She loves eggs thou, so well always have a supply of eggs in the barbarian stronghold.
Cheers to you!

ah kids these days, same with my 3 daughters. Though I tried my best to cook for them, they always compared it with my mom.
Anyways, if you feel like talking ’bout girls stuff (with regards to your daughter), I’m offering my service for free hahaha.

I need a plating lesson from you! 😉
And do splurge on a good Parker fountain pen, writing a personal note longhand with something that has weight and graceful inkflow is such a joy!

Nah, im not that good. 😅
Mine was just a Pilot Metropolitan. Sources say that it’s a good starter pen. And yeah, the weight is the first thing I noticed about the pen!
Cheers Kris!

All of your answers were so great this week! It’s hard to decide which ones to comment on! I think the coolest thing to mention is that you are blogging in second language. You write so well that it easy to forget that you aren’t blogging in your native language.
Your plating is amazing. (I am horrible at that kind of think…and I’m an artist! Haha!) Looking forward to checking out 100 facts about you. (What a great idea for a blog entry!) So happy to see you back on TMI Tuesday!

Aw thank you! I think i just got better at it. I could imagine the cringey early months of blogging!
I guess I wanted to impress my date and at the same time save money back then. Its less expensive to cook rather that go out.
Cheers Beatrix!

Mr. A, I am sorry for being out of touch. I enjoyed this post. I have written a couple of guest posts, but I am not ready to become a regular somewhere else. I am busy enough writing, maintaining my blog, and trying to keep up other bloggers (sometimes I struggle with this one; only so much time to reach out and share).

Hi Teach! Sorry for the very late reply. I haven’t been online for a while. The blog experienced some technical difficulties. I agree, maintaining a blog can be a handful.
